​Wet Rot

There are two types of wet rot, white and brown. Both can be destructive to timber but they each affect the wood differently depending upon type. Basically white rots tend to reduce the timber to a stringy, fibrous texture whilst brown rots cause cracking & shrinking.

Primarily to blame are leaky guttering or roofs. Damp and poorly ventilated environments increase the chances of wet rot.

The solution is to control the environment that is causing the wet rot. The removal of any wet rot from timbers and walls is essential. All affected timbers will be replaced and surrounding areas will require irrigation and sterilizing. Premier Damp will provide you with the professional service you need to completely eradicate the fungi, restore the structure of your property and help prevent re-occurrences.

Dry Rot

The most serious of all wood -rotting fungi is dry rot; its ability to spread through brick walls means we need fast, specialist treatment! Because, even once detected, the infection is often already well-established the potential damage to your property from dry rot is enormous.
